Medical Facilities
 
 
  Graham County Hospital, located at 304 West Prout Street in Hill City, was established in 1953. It provides 26 acute care beds, a variety of outpatient services, a hospital-based clinic, and home health and hospice services. An active medical staff of three physicians and one dentist. 18 specialists visit on a regular basis, providing additional patient care services. A 1997 renovation project provides additional space for the clinic, office and examination space for visiting specialists, and expanded emergency room care. Dr. David Bollig, MD, is the resident family practioneer physician at the Graham County Hospital Clinic, opened in 1996. Graham County Hospital Clinic is located 304 West Prout, Hill City, Kansas 67642. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursdays. In addition to hospital staff duties, Dr. B. N. Reddy, MD, and Dr. P. J. Reddy, MD, staff the Graham County Medical Clinic. Dr. B. N. specializes in pediatrics, geriatrics, and general practice; Dr. P. J. is a board certified surgeon and general practitioner. Graham County Medical Clinic is located at 114 E. Walnut in Hill City. In addition to the two resident physicians, visiting staff provides care in cardiology, vascular surgery, and internal medicine. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Other county medical personnel include Dr. Bill Miller, whose family dentistry practice is located at 305 West Main in Hill City, [785] 421-3492; Dr. Karen Aldridge, optometrist, with offices at 302 North Pomeroy in Hill City [785] 421-3406; and Dr. Karen Miller, providing chiropractic services at her clinic at 513 N. 10th in Hill City [785] 421-2067. 

The Graham County Health Department is located at 225 N. Pomeroy in Hill City. The staff is supervised by Vera Garrison, R.N. 

Most medical procedures not available locally are provided at the Hays Medical Center, located within an hour’s drive at Hays, Kansas. 


Seniors Care 

Dawson Place, located at 208 West Prout Street in Hill City, has intermediate and long term care facilities for 53 residents. Licensed by KDAC, Dawson Place is a member of the Kansas Professional Nursing Home Administrators Association. It is a Medicaide non-profit facility directly connected to the hospital for 24-hour immediate medical assistance. Sealye House, an assisted living facility, is located at 619 N. 4th in Hill City. A private care home licensed by the State of Kansas and operated by Bob and Karen Wygal, Sealye house has 8 single and 1 double rooms. Opened in 1996, Sealye House provides informal living in a comfortable, family style atmosphere. Residents enjoy the service of a full time registered nurse and van transportation for shopping, sightseeing, dining out, and attendance at community activities.
